Theo de Jong and Marike Kauer live in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands with their 4 sons. They moved into their newly built eco-house in July 2018.
We believe sustainability is important. That’s why we wanted to make our new house sustainable and decided the Hydraloop would be a valuable addition. Hydraloop has a beautiful concept that enables us to significantly reduce our water consumption. At the moment, water is still very cheap and self-evident in the Netherlands, but recent years have already shown that this is changing. We could save even more water by using the App more, and by taking into account when we shower or run the washing machine.
So far, the unit has been satisfactory; it does what it is meant to do. You don’t notice that the device is there. It’s a nice feeling that we can reuse water without having to do anything for it. The idea that the water you use for showering can be reused for the toilet, washing machine, and garden feels very logical.
