In November we trained Jason Brown Plumbing and Gas on our Aquacomb system on site at Oriental Parade in Wellington’s Oriental Bay.
We have been installing Aquacomb in the ground floor garage and utilities room of this property as it has been flooding because the ground level is lower than the street. In storm conditions, water has flowed into the garage from the hill behind the house, and from the road.
We have worked with the builders, Planit Construction, engineers – Anthony from Clendon Burns and Park – and architects (Christopher and Charlie from Architecture Workshop) to raise the floor level, using Aquacomb tanks to prevent water coming into the garage from the road, and to provide a large amount of water storage to prevent flooding when the network is over capacity
Our Technical Manager, Elliot Olsen, says that six of the Jason Brown team members came along to learn about installing the system. “Jason and all the team from Jason Brown Plumbing were very diligent and well trained. They lapped up the training, which involved installing the Aquacomb system on site, learning how the tanks are assembled, pressure testing the system, installing custom pipework, and connecting to concrete chambers.”
