New Zealand chosen to run the international pilot programme!
Community organisations are being sought to take part in a revolutionary water- and energy-saving pilot programme that is starting this month in New Zealand.
After New Zealand was chosen to run an international pilot programme by RainStick Shower, an innovative Canadian company, due to the country’s forward-thinking approach to water resilience, Watersmart is now launching a pilot programme that offers an opportunity to win one of 10 NZ-exclusive RainStick Shower recycling systems worth $10,000, installed for free.
As part of the pilot, Watersmart has approached Kiwi organisations to nominate people and community organisations that they think are worthy recipients for one of the free RainStick Showers on offer. If they know a person or organisation who would benefit from this unique opportunity that also enables them to keep the RainStick Shower at the end of the pilot, they should visit the Watersmart website for more details and to apply via a simple nomination form. Applications close on 31 October.
Founded in Canada in 2019 with the goal to help households drastically reduce their water and energy consumption, RainStick Shower is the first WiFi-enabled circular shower that saves 80% water and up to 80% energy while providing almost double the flow of a traditional low-flow shower.

In comparison, a standard three star WELS rated showerhead is around eight-nine litres per minute.
