The Problem

Council mandated 12,000L in total of stormwater detention and retention. The house sits on the back portion of a v shaped section which ruled out using a more traditional large in-ground tank solution. The owners didn’t want to look at above ground options either due to limited options for placement. So what to use and where should it go.

The Solution

Utilising the flexibility of the Aquacomb system we were able to come up with a stackable solution that fit underneath the decking area at the rear of the property. This was made slightly more difficult by the fact it had to be tiered and fit within a set decking joist span. A stack of two dropping to a stack of three pods using a total of 48 x 250L Aqua Comb pods were used to complete the fit out.

The Outcome

Working in conjunction with the builders we provided guides around preparation requirements and timed the install to work in with partial preparation of the decking structure.

Once installed the builders were able to complete the deck fit out and achieve a great result for the home owner.
